Mike Pirrone Produce has a 53 year history of growing and providing the highest quality fresh produce available. Our produce is
cultivated on over 8,000 acres of land from Wisconsin, to New York, to Virginia. And while we grow over 50 different varieties
of produce, our main crops are green beans, cabbage, squash, peppers, and pumpkins. We also produce Michigan Hot House Rhubarb
from January through May, and field grown from May through July
Rhubarb comes in two varieties - Hothouse and Field, both of which are grown and distributed by Mike Pirrone Produce. Rhubarb is
an amazing plant, which has many culinary and medicinal uses. For example, it is used as an antiphlogistic and homeostatic
in the treatment of jaundice, conjunctivitis, ulcers, and gastrointestinal hemorrhages, just to name a few. Rhubarb is also naturally
fat, cholesterol, and sodium free.
