Mike Pirrone Produce, based out of southeast Michigan, is a family owned business that has been growing and selling produce for over 60 years. What began as a small mushroom farm has now grown into a 6,000 acre operation; with Pirrone Family Farms farming 3,000 acres right in our backyard.

At Mike Pirrone Produce, we pride ourselves on being able to supply quality produce anywhere, in any quantity. If you need it, we have the land and resources to make it happen. This coming season Pirrone Family Farms are actively growing rhubarb, green beans, cucumbers, cabbage, pumpkins, squash, gourds, eggplant, a variety of peppers, zucchini, carrots, corn, leafy greens, beets, and organic green beans. 

Bringing the freshest produce to our customers begins during the growing process. With this in mind, we've ensured that our growers use the latest in agricultural techniques, which maximize land use, making the company a national leader in the marketing of high quality produce.  Updated farming techniques such as incorporating growing trellises for our cucumbers to keep them raised for better shape and cleaner product, planting rye in pumpkin fields to keep the pumpkins off the dirt, and using plastic culture to reduce the need for pesticides, fungicides, and herbicides are but a few examples of such innovations. These processes  reduce our carbon footprint and increases the natural nutrients in our vegetables.  The Great Lakes area offers warm days and cool nights which helps us grow produce high in nutrition as well as taste, appearance, and shelf life.

Food Safety

Mike Pirrone Produce is compliant with the Produce Traceability Initiative (PTI). With PTI consumers and customers can trace product back to the source. Mike Pirrone Produce also follows a strict food safety program undergoing yearly 3rd party inspections and abiding by Good Agricultural Practices (GAP).
